Optical technology offers the highest resolutions, making it the ideal choice for applications that require a high level of accuracy or precision.

IMMUNITY TO INTERFERENCE

Optical encoders are more immune to electrical noise interference from eddy currents. This is a common issue for electronic circuits and magnetic encoders installed on large electric motors, but optical encoders are less affected.

FLEXIBLE MOUNTING OPTIONS

Through hollow shaft designs are possible with optical encoders, and we carry several through hollow shaft encoders in our product range. These encoders can be directly mounted on the back of an AC motor between the motor and its fan.
